Birch Grove

The modern design of this geometric garden, located in Cracow, Poland, refers to the principles of minimalism, characterized by monochrome and geometry.

The design concept is based on simple forms: rectangles and squares, which define the framework of individual interiors of the project, at the same time referring to the architecture of the building and exposing its modern character. The geometric quarters of the flowerbeds organize the space, but the diversity of the composition of trees, shrubs, perennials, and ornamental grasses introduces wildness.

A restrained colour palette, including purple, pink, and white, is accentuated by various shades of green and red, creating interesting combinations and dynamics in the designed space. Concrete elements are strong accents that determine the character of the garden. The element that emphasizes modernity is regular concrete pavement, in dark colours, juxtaposed to gravel and green lawn.

Light is an important element of the design that enliven the garden at night. The eye-catching zone is the modern terrace with the bioclimatic pergola, but the main element of the project is the birch grove that acts as an oasis of peace.

As a result, the designed garden has become an extension of the living space surrounded by greenery.
